There were 22 teams entered for the event.
The teams came from Belconnen, Yass, Cowra, Young, Cootamundra, Boorowa Rec Club and Bribaree, as well as the Boorowa Ex-Services bowls side.
The 88 bowlers played on seven rinks at Boorowa Ex Services and four rinks at the Rec Club.
Thanks to the Rec Club for the use of their green.
The winners for the day was one of the local teams representing Boorowa Ex-Services, skipped by Bill Luxford.
Other members of his team were Maureen Westbury, Charlie Sorgsepp and John Bromham.
John is a 13-year-old bowler with a great future and, judging by Sunday's results, also playing very well.
Grandfather David better watch out in the Club Championships in a few years' time.
Another local who had a great day was newly elected councillor John Piper.
John fronted up on Sunday after a long Saturday night nervously watching the votes being counted.
John played in a local Boorowa team skipped by Shane Foote and included Michael Munns and John Dymock.
They played two tight games against teams from Cowra and Belconnen.
President Gerard Dunn thanked the travelling teams and the volunteer caterers who, he added, had now catered for this event for forty years.
A great effort.
Yvonne Murphy sold the raffle tickets all day and the club, thanks Yvonne.
To other news, the winner last Thursday in our regular social competition was David Bromham on 27 points, very closely followed by Leo Sorgsepp on 26 with Darryll Murphy third on 24.
