Bunnings will show their support to the region’s volunteer emergency services with  Australia Day Weekend barbecue fundraisers at all stores across Australia on Saturday, January 24.  Mid-Western Region residents are invited to celebrate Australia Day and support the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers across the region by joining Bunnings Mudgee team members in front of store on Saturday morning, January 24.  NSW SES Commissioner, Adam Dent, said he was pleased that Bunnings has chosen to support emergency services with this great initiative. “The NSW SES is grateful for the support of Bunnings for our local SES Unit this Australia Day weekend. The support of Bunnings will assist our volunteers to do what they do best – helping their local community in times of accident and disaster,” Mr Dent said. Bunnings Mudgee Store Manager, Paul Cottam, said the Aussie Day Weekend Fundraiser Barbecue is a terrific way for team members and all Australians to show their appreciation for the wonderful work done by local volunteer emergency services. “We’d love everyone to come and enjoy a sausage sizzle and help raise vital funds for the great work done by local volunteer emergency services across the Australia Day weekend,” Mr Cottam said. Between 9am to 4pm, team members from Bunnings Mudgee will be running barbecues with support from emergency services volunteers, with every cent raised going directly to support the NSW State Emergency Service. Family activities, fun games and entertainment will also be held throughout the day.
