Nine Rotarians and five spouses made the three hour trip to Boorowa to forge a relationship with Boorowa Rotary Club and the town of Boorowa.
Our District has for some time been promoting a project called ''Adopt A Town'' which was originally aimed at supporting towns affected by drought but has recently been expanded to include towns ravaged by the recent bushfires.
We arrived on Friday afternoon and had a look around the town.

Then on Friday night we had a ''welcome dinner'' at the Boorowa Hotel, which is owned by Boorowa Rotarian Mike Ward.
It was a very enjoyable dinner which gave us the opportunity to meet members of the Boorowa Rotary Club.
After a group breakfast and shopping in the town we boarded the Boorowa Hotel bus for a visit to ''Newhaven Park'', a huge racehorse stud, then afternoon tea at Frogmore Community Hall, the site of the very first "Hat Town'' opened by Lee Kernaghan in 2001.
On Saturday night we visited a local fish farm where we enjoyed a beautiful meal of fish and lamb and again enjoyed the company of local Rotarians as well as a beautiful sunset.
After breakfast on Sunday morning we travelled to a ''nearby'' sheep farm owned by one of the Boorowa Rotarians where the ''city slickers'' saw a little of life on a farm.
I think we were all surprised by the variation in the colour of the grass in different parts of Boorowa.
Some areas had recently received 20mm of rain and were showing some green growth while other parts were a virtual desert.
The weekend cemented a very strong relationship between the two clubs and Camden Rotary Club has officially adopted the town of Boorowa.
I hope more can join us when we next visit this beautiful town.
