After fielding just one team, the Crocs, last season, the club recently voted to again try two teams with the Gators making a comeback after one season in the wilderness.
The Crocs will play in the A/B competition for the Triggs Shield and Sweeney Cup whilst the Gators will contest the more social C Grade Competition.
The Crocs were very competitive in the back half of last season and under the guidance of club Captain, Josh Carmody, they are confident they can rattle the cages of all teams this year.
The batting appears to have more depth and bowling had never really been an issue so, if they can restrict some of the more experienced batsmen, they're every chance of being in the mix.
Meanwhile, the Gators will consist of a few older players combined with some up and coming young superstars and they should also be reasonably competitive.
Round one will see the Crocs at home to Yass Bowling Club Pirates commencing at 12.30pm whilst the Gators will head to Tim Doolan Oval in Harden to take on the Harden Hornets, also at 12.30pm.
All players of any standard are welcome, and anyone keen for a game can either contact the Courthouse Hotel, turn up to training on Wednesdays around 5pm at the St. Josephs School nets or simply talk to any other local cricketers.
