The green and gold will take on the Condobolin Rams at home this Saturday for a shot at either Harden or Cootamundra to take out the Oilsplus South West Competition and a spot in the grand final.
Goldies coach, Andrew Corcoran said the team had one goal in mind at the start of the season - play finals footy.
"It's very exciting, our goal was to try and make the finals after not making them last year and we've achieved that, so pretty happy in the new competition," he said.
"[We've] got on the right side of a lot of games and winning them.... last year we seemed to keep edging ourselves out."
Corcoran said his main concern leading up to the finals was to field the strongest side possible after some mixed results at the end of the regular season.
"We've known for a couple of weeks that we were going to be playing Condo, they are a physical team so we've just been trying to get a few injuries through... just to get a fully fit team into the first round of finals, which we've managed to do and keep our momentum going as well," he said.
"We copped a pretty good hiding from Coota... but then we backed it up with a good win away at West Wyalong, which is always tough to do."
Corcoran lauded the efforts of Brendan McGrath, Tom Carnell, Mark Poplin and captain Marty Corcoran.
"Brendan McGrath has been outstanding... he's been our standout player for the year," he said.
"Tom Carnell, our prop, has been impressive all year, coming across from the Rovers and Mark Poplin at fullback, he's had a great season in a lot of different positions."
Corcoran encouraged everyone to get out and support this side this Saturday, with kickoff at 3.15pm.
"First time we've hosted finals in Boorowa for three or four years, so that's pretty exciting," he said.
"We've had two good games against Condo and they'll be a tough, physical team, it's definitely not in the bag, we'll have to work hard.
"Just happy we get to host it rather than drive three hours to Condo."
