The Big Bottles returned to the field last Saturday the Christmas break with a win over Bribaree Rams at the sports ground.
Star of the day for the Big Bottles was Wil Stanley who made a quick fire half century to help secure the win.
Rams won the toss and elected to bat first in the 20Twenty encounter going on to set the Bottles a target of 150 after ending their innings at 6/149.
Off the back of a 63 run opening stand between Josh Platt (40) and Noah Platt (18) Rams were cruising before the Big Bottles attack struck with Dan Canellis and Ben Klose combining to dismiss the former who had sent four deliveries over the boundary rope in his innings.
This brought Josh Cameron to the crease who went on to top score for the Rams, smashing 46 from 37 deliveries.
His innings included three sixes and two fours.
Best of the bowlers for the Big Bottles was Klose who finished the day with three wickets from his four overs
The other Rams wickets to fall were picked up by Daniel Canellis 1-17, Anthony Kennedy 1-28 and Jacob Kennedy 1-34.
Wil Stanley, Rahuslsinh Zala and Tom Carnell also had a bowl without picking up a wicket.
The Big Bottles run chase didn't start well with Daniel Canellis on his way back to the pavilion for 13 after being caught by Josh Cameron off the bowling of Caleb Schiller.
Bruce Grey was the next to fall, run out for 22 in the pursuit of quick runs, taking the score to 2-48.
His dismissal brought Anthony Kennedy to the crease who alongside Wil Stanley steered the Big Bottles to the win in the 17th over.
Kennedy and Stanley both scored at better than a run a ball with Stanley finishing not out 59 from just 34 deliveries.
Kennedy carried his bat for 20 from just 11 balls.
Both batters found the boundary rope multiple times with Kennedy smashing two fours and two sixes and Stanley making light work of the bowling attack to help himself to four sixes and four fours.
The Rams used nine players in an attempt to half the flow of runs with Caleb Schiller and Josh Platt the only two to pick up a wicket. Platt was easily the most economical of the bowlers returning figures of 1-2 from his single over.
Rams captain Justin Boyd probably regrets his decision to bowl himself, costing his side 43 runs from his four overs.
The Big Bottles take on Temora Bowling Club Tigers B Grade this Saturday at Gus Smith Oval while the Crocs are scheduled to take on the Harden Hornets at the Boorowa Sports Ground from 1.30pm on Saturday.
