Frances Lillian Millynn (Fran) passed away at Mercy Care Centre, Young on July 20, 2021.

She was 92 years of age.
Frances was born at Queanbeyan Hospital on October 18, 1928 to parents Ernest and Annie Towse (nee Cross).
She had nine siblings.
Frances lived at Sutton and Gundaroo in her early days and attended Gundaroo Public School where she enjoyed academic and sporting activities.
She had a competitive nature and achieved awards and trophies for both.
Frances married Maurice (Maurie) Millynn at St John's Church, Reid, Canberra on December 20, 1947.
They were parents to six children and five survive Frances.
The family lived at a various locations including Gundaroo, Bywong and Frogmore.
Frances and Maurie moved to 'Tyrone', Frogmore on May 5, 1960 and this year the Millynn family celebrated sixty-one years there.
Frances was a devoted wife, a loving and caring mother and a good friend to many.
She was active in the operation of the farm and worked alongside Maurie and their children.
Wool and sheep were their main focus and they bred heavy Wonga blood Merinos.
Maurie passed away on January 27, 1985 and from that time, Frances continued to proficiently run the farm.
Her strong will helped her through diverse times and she retired from farming at the age of 72.
However, she stayed active gardening most days and she enjoyed the fruits of her labour.
Frances attended sewing at the Frogmore Hall and excelled in many forms of needlework and other craft, achieving accolades and awards.
She assisted for several years in the pavilion for the Boorowa Show Society and was an active member of the Boorowa Probus Club, holding the role of president in 2006.
When Frances travelled outside of NSW for the first time, she was 50 years of age, however she took pleasure in travel and enjoyed various Probus bus trips within Australia and several overseas trips.
Frances was interred on July 30, 2021 at the Boorowa Cemetery where Deacon Patrick Whale officiated the service.
The pall bearers were Wayne and Craig, two of her sons, and Lee, Christopher, Bernard and Gregory Millynn, four of her grandsons.
Frances is survived by two siblings, five children, 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
