Both teams will play archrivals Binalong and although its still early in the season, these games could be critical in determining the makeup of the semifinals.
The Rovers and Roverettes are both coming off heavy defeats against Cootamundra and no doubt have used the last two weeks to rectify a few problems and nurse a few early season injuries.
After five rounds, the Rovers are locked in a four-way tussle for third spot on the ladder.
They are currently on six points with three wins and two losses.
Binalong are also on six points so the winner of this match will entrench themselves in the top five.
Binalong are coming off a narrow win over the struggling Crookwell Green Devils, but they have won three straight games and narrowly lost against the competition front runners Cootamundra early in the season.
Home ground advantage could well be a factor in this match as not a lot separates the sides on paper.
This weekend is the beginning of ten straight weeks of Saturday football before the semi finals with no more breaks between now and the Grand Final.
Ladies ready for Binalong's big lift
In the league tag, the Roverettes currently hold down third spot on eight points, just one win behind the undefeated Harden and Cootamundra outfits.
Binalong have recorded just one win but will no doubt lift for the local derby.
With a dry track expected for the weekend, both home games should produce some entertaining football.
The league tag kicks off at 1.15pm followed by the George Took Shield at 2.30pm Saturday.
Canteen facilities will be available and as always, the after-match action will be at the Courthouse Hotel.
Meanwhile in the U19s, Harden/Boorowa head to Crookwell on Saturday to play the Crookwell Green Devils at 12pm.
This is a vital game for the lads as they sit just one point above Crookwell on the ladder.
See you at the league.
