The Boorowa Central School Community 150 Years planning committee met recently to discuss their proposed celebrations and, following community consultation, decided to postpone their event.
"It was determined that they [the planning committee] would survey the community to ascertain whether they should go ahead with their celebrations this year," the planning committee said.
"After weighing up these results, and the ongoing concern surrounding the impact of COVID-19 on events in 2021, the planning team have made the decision to postpone the celebrations until 2025.
"The committee is extremely excited to now celebrate both 155 years and 150 years of public education at Boorowa Central School at the same time.
"The planning committee and the school are excited to hold this event early in 2025 - it will be here before we know it."
