Gymnasts have already been learning new skills or revising those that they have already mastered.
Last Saturday one rotation in both sessions included fun activities and games on the beam.
These help to develop balance and confidence on the beam for future skills and routines.
Activities included walking while balancing books on their heads, beanbags on hands and heads, holding eggs on spoons, climbing through hoops and partners holding balls between their backs.
A number of gymnasts were able to walk blindfolded along the beam while carefully feeling for a steady foothold.
Gymnasts in the second session played captain ball and "fencing" with noodles whilst several gymnasts used a skipping rope to move along the length of the beam or even skip on the spot.
Everyone joined in enthusiastically with the odd loss of balance being part of the fun.
