According to Hilltops Council, Cr Wallace is honoured to have been reelected into the role and looks forward to another great twelve months.
"At the Ordinary Meeting of Hilltops Council held Wednesday, September 23, Councillor Tony Wallace was re-elected to the position of Deputy Mayor," a Hilltops Council spokesperson said.
"Councillor Wallace has held the position since 2017 and was re-elected unopposed to continue in the position for the next twelve months."
At the meeting, Hilltops mayor, Crr Brian Ingram congratulated Cr Wallace and thanked him for his support over the past three years.
"It is great to see Tony re-elected," Cr Ingram said.
"I have enjoyed working closely with him and look forward to continuing that for the next twelve months.
"This is a pleasing result as it provides consistency for the community and the organisation."
The election of the deputy mayor takes place every year, with the mayoral election occurring every second year.
NSW Council elections were due to be held due this month but were postponed in an announcement made by Minister for Local Government Shelley Hancock earlier this year due to COVID-19 health concerns.
The elections have been rescheduled for September 4, 2021.
Hilltops Council have said current councillors will continue to hold their civic offices until the rescheduled elections are held next year.
