But no doubt many dart boards in backyard sheds will be getting a good workout until play resumes hopefully later in the year.
The first match of round three was between Top Pub Fitten Did against The Ex Services RSL side, which the RSL won 4/3.
It was a much better start than last year for the RSL, where it took them 20 matches to win a night. Well done RSL with the highlights seeing Adrian March hit a 120 and the Fitten Dids Lance Rufford-Sharpe (Sharpie) hit a 115.
In last year's B Grade grand final replay, The Rec Miz Fits hosted the Top Pub Leprechauns with the Rec winning 4/3 decided on the second last singles.
The Miz Fits Dee McClung shot some great darts with a 117 high and a 72 peg out in three darts.
Dee was supported with a 100 by Leteesha Peace.
The Leppers David Apps shot 116 on three occasions.
The Ex Services Club (RSL) Renegades hosted the Top Pub Specialz where in a tight contest.
The Renegades won 4/3 decided in the last singles.
The Renegades' Jamie Patterson shot two hundred plus scores being a 105 and a 109. The Specialz captain Jake McKenzie hit a 100 and Jason Stuart shot a 133.
The Top Pub Shamrocks hosted The Rec Club Outsiders, with the Outsiders clear winners by 6/1.
Captain Steve Makings played some high-quality darts with four hundred plus scores and an outstanding 149 peg out.
He was well supported again by Colin death with 2 Tons.
The Ramz hosted the Mad Ramz with the A grade side from last year dominating 7/0. Josh Carmody had three hundred plus scores. Les Fitzgerald had a 100 and Tom Thuaux had a 100. The Mad Ramz Shane Picker and Peter Bell shot a hundred each.
In the last game of the night the Top Pub Bushrangers hosted last season's champions, the Top Pub Silver Foxes with the Foxes again scrapping home in the last singles match to win the night 4/3. The Silver Foxes' Phil Coggins had four hundred plus scores including a 156 whilst Dennis Watson had three hundreds including a 140.
Lester Murphy and Richard Hall shot a ton each. The Bushrangers were unlucky not to win this one with Peter Stephens hitting four hundred plus scores including a 140 and 135, whilst he had great support from Charlie Collins with two tons.
And so just like that, the season is done, at least for now anyway.
We will keep everyone informed of future developments and a resumption of play in due course but in the meantime keep your arrows sharp and may you all stay well.
See you back at the oche soon.
