Out of the gate the show's usual 2pm official opening has now been brought forward to 11am.
Boorowa Show Society Secretary, Narelle Nixon, said the new opening time was for the convenience of attendees.
"It could be very hot at times when we opened the show in the past," she said.
"With the official opening change kids entering the pet show we would like at the front of the grandstand at 9.20am for judging to begin promptly at 9.30am.
"The Baby Show and Junior Showgirl will be held immediately after this," she said.
Mrs Nixon said there would also be some new educational attractions for kids attending the show.
"Free children's entertainment is always a priority for us and we really do try to provide lots of fun," she said.
"We hope that the Showmans Guild will support us with sideshow alley attractions, but this year Fizzics Education will provide shows with an educational science theme.
"Old Kentucky Animal Farm will be there, John's Reptile Awareness and there will also be perennial favourites of face painting and balloon twisting," she said.
The drought has also created an interesting situation with the show's commercial agricultural sections, with Mrs Nixon saying the 2020 Commercial Cattle Competition won't be run and the Flock Ewe competition raising interesting discussions.
"Destocking to cope with the dry meant that there are few growers who have maintained commercial breeding herds for exhibiting," she said.
"This competition will return next year and we look forward to tripping around the herds in the future.
"Flock Ewe enjoyed a good crowd of interested spectators following it around.
"There was much sharing of information and some interesting discussions ensued regarding drought management and feeding in these extenuating circumstance.
"Top five announced for final placings to be announced at the Show at 3pm are BR and NL Nixon 'Clovelly', Bill Hurley 'Old Killanear', Dymock Agricultural 'West Killanear', Clearview P/Ship and DJ and KF McGrath 'Clearview South'," she said.
Mrs Nixon extended the Show Society's thanks to the volunteers for providing their time to help run the show.
"The Boorowa Show Society Committee wish to extend thanks to all those who volunteer many valuable hours of hard work," she said.
"Their practical help is very much appreciated by all.
"Without their support the show could not go on.
"The Binalong VAR rescue squad provides first aid on the ground for the day, the Boorowa Rotary Club man the gate and the Boorowa Lions Club provides a barbecue.
"Call into the Tea Rooms and enjoy a natter and a catch up with a delicious Devonshire Tea, freshly made sandwiches or yummy homemade slice. All cooked and provided by the Boorowa Hospital Auxiliary," she said.
