Many members of the local community had purchased the ducks as part of a fundraising effort by Boorowa Rotary.
The first three ducks to cross the weir were declared the winners.
The numbers were:
- 82
- 241 and
- 161.
The purchasers were very happy with their dollar winnings.
Winner of the first duck was Wayne Harvey, who very generously donated his winnings back to the fundraising effort.
The total amount raised by the Boorowa Rotary Duck Race was seven hundred dollars which will be donated to Rotary Australia World Communities Services (RAWCS) for the Australian Bush Fire Appeal.
