The day was fully booked with 26 teams attending.
Players came from all the local clubs and the Belconnen Club sent five teams for the day.
The Ex-Services bowlers would like to thank the Boorowa Recreation Club for the use of their green for the day.
Such great co-operation is very much appreciated.
The winners on the day were the Grimson family.
Outright winner was Chris Grimson and his team of Cameron Johnson, Mick and Ron Tuckerman .
A very close second was father Des and his team of Greg Percival, Glen Klose and Col Good.
The President's team also performed well, running a very creditable third.
President John has recovered from a trying to climb a tree on a motorbike, and coming off second best.
It was also a first for the Boorowa Club to have ladies playing at President's Day.
The ladies regularly play on Thursdays so we welcomed them to our President's Day.
The Club would like to thank our sponsors for the day, Thompson's Rural Products and the Bendigo Bank.
On less weighty matters, 20 bowlers booked in for social bowls last Thursday.
Competition was fierce, so in the end there was a five way tie for the trophy.
Tony Deveson, Tim Bonfield, Don Hansen, David Bromham and Charlie Sorgsepp all scored 24 points.
We will play on Wednesday this week to allow the council to conduct their Christmas staff gathering on Thursday.
