Plenty happening on the fairway for Boorowa male golfers

The annual Tim and Bec Poplin-sponsored two person Ambrose competition was held on October 26, teeing off from the original tees.

The trophy winning pair was that of Gary Sheppard and Bob Styles; the pair of Roger Mason and Rob Gorham were runners-up.

Rodney Neeson sponsored a stableford event on October 19, with a great round of 43 points awarding Michael Tuckerman the first place the trophy. Richard Hall was runner-up while Phil Johnston won the nearest to the pin prize on the 11th hole.

Due to the postponement of the scheduled trophy a club trophy was vied for as a draw for a partnered two person Ambrose event on October 12. The team of Roger Green and Rob Dunwoodie were victors over runners-up Rob Gorham and Roger Mason.

The Boorowa Men's open day competition was held last Saturday, November 2, and the mixed team of Hazel Gardiner and Roger Mason won the day, while the team of Danny Cassells and Phil Johnston filled second place. Roger Green won a golf ball for nearest to the pin on the eighth hole.
