The Boorowa Community Garden, if you haven't seen it, is coming together very nicely and I suggest you drive up to the Showground and have a look.
They have a small band of volunteers and could do with some more help.
You don't have to be a master gardener as such, all that's needed is a bit of enthusiasm and a bit of time.
The Community Garden team meet Tuesday at 10am on what they call ladies' day, and 1pm Saturday when all are welcome.

The other organization is the Boorowa Music & Dramatic Society Choir.
Age is starting to catch up, hence the request for some younger singers.
If you sing in the shower, or at any other time, give the choir a thought.
Rest assured, most of us can sing and the choir will bring out improvements you wouldn't have dreamed about.
The choir has resumed after its winter break and meets Tuesday 5pm in the room at the rear of the Uniting Church.
Both groups will welcome you with open arms and I'm happy to help steer you in the right direction.

Mel and Susie will be back in town performing at the Ex-Services Club.
This dynamic duo were here several years ago and then, Club President Gerard Dunn, on entering the auditorium said to wife Julie he couldn't understand why he was going to the concert.
At concert end a complete change with Gerard saying something like, "Best concert he'd ever been to".
I can assure you, this is a concert not to be missed and cost is a mere $10 per person.
Saturday, October 26 - Mel and Susie.

Ever since Mick was a child, he'd always had a fear of someone lurking under his bed at night, so he went to a shrink and told him: "I've got problems. Every time I go to bed I think there's somebody under it. I'm scared. I think I'm going crazy".
"Just put yourself in my hands for one year," said the shrink.
"Come talk to me three times a week and we should be able to get rid of those fears."
"How much do you charge?"
"One hundred and fifty dollars per visit," replied the shrink.
"I'll sleep on it," Mick said.

Six months later the shrink met Mick on the street. "Why didn't you come and see me about those fears you were having?" he asked.
"Well, $150 a visit three times a week for a year is $23,400. A bartender cured me for $10. I was so happy to save all that money that I went and bought a new pickup truck."
"Is that so? With a bit of attitude he said, "And how, may I ask, did a bartender cure you?"
"He told me to cut the legs off the bed, there's nobody there now."
Mick will tell you, "It's always better to get a second opinion!!!"

Impressionable young minds involved in global warming rallies is creating anxieties in these young lives, anxiety they, especially in their young lives, they could do well without.
They could well heed the words of Peter Taalas, head of the World Meteorological Organisation saying, "We should stay calm and ponder what is really the solution, it's not really the end of the world."
Good advice, avoid hysteria and cool it.
