Accompanied by their teachers, Mr Paul Corcoran and Ms Sarah Rose, and a number of parents, the students arrived at the Mogo Zoo for their first adventure.
At the zoo they learnt about a number of endangered species of animals from across the globe and the zoo's important role in their re-population.
The students then went to set up their camp at the Big4 at Moruya Heads.
Here they spent their time on all the different activities including the jumping pillow, playground equipment and also pitching their tents for the night.
After a barbecue dinner it was stories and songs, a talent show and off to bed.
The next morning they headed out to the Binji Dreaming Walk where they explored the coast and islands where the local Aboriginal people have lived for tens of thousands of years.
They saw a sea lion and some whales as well as learnt about the natural fishing traps, the way the Aboriginal people lived and significant and sacred sites of the area.
The students then went to the local Moruya Heads Lifesaving Centre and learnt all about the role of the lifesavers, their equipment and more about safety at a beach, especially all about rips in the oceans.
After this experience the students spent time on the beach exploring the rocks, playing in the sand and some even tried their hand at fishing.
It was a great afternoon.
That evening they had a pizza and pasta meal at the club and then spent the evening with the Year 3 students from St Mary's Moruya watching a movie.
They slept very well that night.
On their last day Friday, August 30, the students packed their tents and headed out for a round of Putt Putt Golf in Tomikin.
There they had a wonderful time playing the course, while some of the parents got to have fun hitting the floating golf balls into the dam.
After golf they then headed back for home.
Thank you to Mr Paul Corcoran and Ms Catrina Niddrie (St Mary's Moruya) for organising this incredible opportunity for the students they had a marvellous time.
A special thank you to Ms Rose and the parents for all your support throughout the experience.
