This service will provide a long awaited transport link between the three main towns in the Hilltops area and give residents the opportunity to travel for a social outing, to attend appointments, visit friends or family, access services, shopping or even a trip to the Cinema.
Every second Thursday the bus will leave Young Tourist Information Centre at 8am travelling to Boorowa where it will pick up from within the township from 8.40am to 9am and then to Harden Tourist information at 9.45am before returning to Young by 10.15am and then in the afternoon the return trip will commence at 2.15pm.
The service is available to those who are aged, have a disability or who are transport disadvantaged.
Cost is $10 for a return trip or $5 one way.
All passengers need to register to use the service.
Young and Boorowa clients should contact the Young office on 6382 1518. Harden Clients should contact Murrumburrah Harden Flexible Care on 6386 3561 to book. Transport for clients from home to the Tourist Office to catch the bus in Harden is also available.
The service will be trialed until the end of the year and depending on patronage may continue into 2020.
This new service does not replace the current Boorowa to Young fortnightly service on a Friday but we will now see Boorowa residents have access to a bus service one day a week.
