The weather was threatening in the morning but held out, at least initially, which allowed us to get under way with dry conditions.
Unforunately though, this was not to last so once the rain came, it didn't stop until the Ladies had finished the last nine holes.
The winner was Hazel Gardner who has been playing very good golf, the runner up was Del Greig.
The scratch winner was Kate Crisp, and runner up was Suzanne Manning.
Meanwhile, the Bindy Cup was won by Frances Brewer and the runner up was Felicity Corcoran.
A very big thank you to all the players who participated, and also a big thank you to the Dwyer family who have sponsored this event all these years, thank you also to Rob Dunwoodie who checked all the players' cards.
Additionally, a big thank you to Sharon and Corinne who provided a wonderful supper for us.
Last week we played for the Tina Merriman and Rosemary Corcoran Trophy, which featured A, B and C grade tournaments.
The A grade winner was Kate Crisp and B grade Leanne Farrell, and C grade went to Polly Farrell. Many thanks to Tina and Rosemary for their support as well.
The Golf NSW medal was played for as well and was won by Leanne Farrell who was delighted.
MEN'S GOLF
Jeff Cassidy had a successful visit to his home town from Sydney winning last Saturday's A.J.J & J Greig trophy, that was played as a stroke event, with a score of net 61. Phil Johnston filled runner up position on a count back from ball comp winner Greg Atkins.
GUNGEWALLA CUP RESULTS
The 93rd Gungewalla Cup has come and gone with some new names on the trophies after a competitive day of golf.
The winner of the prestigious Gungewalla Cup was the old fox Richard Hall on a count back from Roger Mason. Congratulations to all golfers meeting such a challenge as the Gungewalla Cup.
Other notable results for the day are Bob Styles winning the 36 hole scratch trophy from second placed Josh Greig.
Roger Shean was the 36 hole stableford event winner over Rob Dunwoodie.
Meanwhile, Kel Gorham won out over Anthony Greig as the 18 hole morning round winner and Vince Leslie beat Andy McGrath to claim honours as the afternoon 18 hole round winner.
Three golfers had nearest to the pin shots on various par three holes and they were Rob Dunwoodie, Kel Gorham and Anthony Greig.
