Hilltops men and women are invited to attend a “Men’s” Breakfast to be held at the Uniting Church Hall in Binalong Street Harden on Saturday, February 23 from 8am to 10am.
Guest speakers are Sue and Geoff Orchison who will give an illustrated talk on their travels in the Holy Land and on daily life in Bethlehem. RSVP’s to Neville Alcorn on 6386 2157.
Bush Poets
Bush Poetry returns to the Young Hotel in Lynch Street Young on Sunday, February 24.
Organisers are inviting people who enjoy uniquely Australian entertainment to come along, have a go, or just enjoy the show. There is always an open microphone session. With only good family friendly material, juniors are welcome to take part.
Agricultural Shows
In the first three days of March the Hilltops Region hosts two agricultural shows. This celebration of agricultural excellence and diversity takes place in Boorowa and Koorawatha, with both show societies adding entertainment to their extensive programs.
Boorowa Show will be held on March 1 and 2, with Koorawatha’s show on Sunday. March 3.
Invitation to Schools
Schools in the region are being invited to take part in the Lambing Flat Chinese Festival to be held on March 30 at Young.
Lantern decorating workshops will be held in schools prior to the event.
There’s a sunset lantern parade during the festival. Schools may also take part in the “Future Faces” presentation which could comprise choral, instrumental, dance, drama, mime and individual acts.
