I finished up last week’s column with the statement from the Prime Minister that Islamic extremism is the greatest threat to our very way of life.
I came across some very interesting truths related to Islamic terrorism. The world has witnessed some horrific acts of terrorism with the New York Trade Centre attack indelibly etched into our minds. Bombings in London, Boston, Buenos Aries, killings in Nairobi … the list is extensive and few countries have not felt some form of terrorism, all at the hands of Muslims.
Most religions co-exist quite harmoniously. Muslims however fail to find such understanding, not even when mixed with Muslims.
I can understand people would choose to move from their Muslim homelands seeking a happier life in places like Australia, US, European countries, etc. I cannot understand why they seek to change the way of life in their adopted country. If that is how they want to live, why leave?
There is an almost endless list of Islamic terrorist groups, al-Qaeda, Taliban, Isis, Boko Haron to name a few, all keen to spread the tentacles of terror throughout the world.
It would be so nice to live in a peaceful world, I’m not a hate monger, but it is sad we have these Islamic terrorist groups with no intent but to disrupt in the quest for world domination. Preserving our way of life must be high on any government’s agenda.

A father bought a lie detector robot that slaps people when they lie. He decided to test it out at dinner, asking his son what he did that afternoon. The son said, “School work.” The robot slapped the son.
The son said, “Ok, ok, I was at a friend’s place watching movies.”
Dad asked, “What movies did you watch?”
“Toy Story”, was the reply. The robot slaps the son, who quickly added, “Ok, we were watching porn.”
Dad said, “What? At your age I didn’t even know what porn was.” The robot slaps the father,
Mom laughs and says, “Well, he certainly is your son.” The robot slapped the mother.
Understandably, the robot is for sale. Now beware, the markets are on this Saturday in the Court House Park. If a robot is going cheap it may just be this one. If you’ve got a few skeletons in your closet, better to keep them quiet.

The new Showground function centre is all but complete, along with a 100 space car park. The Showground is and will be a remarkable complex. I wonder what the new complex will be called? I only hope the people of Boorowa and district have the opportunity to come up with the name.
