“We are very excited by our 18 little kindies who have started school this year. They are getting used to the routine of getting to school.”
The students have been buddied up with Year 6 students who have shown them the ropes at the school.
“They look out for them, walk them to the classroom and keep an eye out for them in the playground,” Mrs Hambly said.
The students have also started group work, developing friendships and this week, will start L3 lessons - Language, Learning and Literacy.
“They’ve done painting, which is quite messy and fun and they’ve been to the Library and borrowed their first book… they are settling in really well,” Mrs Hambly said.
The school will be hosting a Welcome to 2018 barbecue on Wednesday, February 28 from 6pm onwards to welcome new families to the school community.
