The Boorowa Ambassador Susie Elelman as is tradition sent down a couple of sighters under the guidance of club President John Crowe.
Competition was fierce but in the end the team of Jerry Monaghan Ned and Monica Kelly won the trophy. The Kellys from Binalong proved too consistent on the day.
The stewards checked the scorecards as they do when Ned Kelly wins a trophy.
Last Thursdays social bowls attracted 16 players and Monica Kelly and Colin Good shared first prize on 25 points, second was John dymock on 22 with the very consistent Binalong Bushranger Ned Kelly in third place. The Kellys certainly had a great Australia Day weekend. Social bowls are on again Thursday at 1pm.
