Balladeers and yarn spinners will unleash their talents, some with original compositions, to delight lovers of ‘Australiana.’
Many old favourites and some newcomers will be revealed in the Balladeers programme, which has become a popular part of Australia Day in Boorowa.
As usual, the Balladeers’ programme will be presented from 4pm in the Boorowa Recreation Club, which has sponsored the event, and provided the venue, for many years.
Anyone who has not already been contacted, and would like to perform in the programme, can phone Derrick Mason on 6385 3213 or 0427 853 213.
Admission to the Balladeers is by donation, with the proceeds being applied to advertising and promoting the activity.
The Boorowa Balladeers have a loyal following, built up over the years, and many supporters find this a very appropriate way to ‘wind up’ Australia Day activities for the year.
In April, the Balladeers will once again be involved in fund raising for Can Assist, and the organisation of the Songs of Hope choir concert in St Patrick’s Church which will take place on April 15.
This will be an opportunity to enjoy some splendid choir singing, and make a significant contribution to a very worthwhile cause.
But remember, ‘Balladeers 2018’ will be first off the rank, with their Australia Day stint starting at 4pm.
Don’t miss it!
