There are many darters having withdrawals at the moment as it has been a few weeks since the last competition. Tonight’s action will start at 7pm with a registration of $5 that will be donated to the Boorowa Hospital.
Last year the young ones prevailed but the oldies don’t take losing well and will be keen to make amends.
Rumour has it, the following his retirement from the International stage after Christmas, the legendary Phil Taylor will be making the trip down under to compete in this special night next year.
So nippers, you better win tonight because you could be in for a long drought in the coming years.
On the world stage, it would be a fairy tale ending if Taylor could go out with one last title but it’s hard to go past Michael Van Gerwen on current form to become the world champion again.
For the Aussies, young gun Corey Cadby has the potential to go deep into the tournament if he is given a good draw as does Kyle Anderson.
And don’t right off the Wizard Simon Whitlock who is now well and truly in the veteran class. It all gets underway this week.
See you at the Recreation Club tonight as we say farewell to the 2017 darts year with a bang.
