Journalist, comedian and TV presenter Gretel Killeen made the trip back to Boorowa, bringing her show “This Is Who I Am” and a few friends with her.
Gretel facilitated the day, sharing stories from her professional and personal life to show the audience that everyone has histories that don’t necessarily ever enter the public arena.
TV presenter and voice-over artist Joanna “Joey” Moore was next up, recalling the time she met and danced with Prince Charles at a function.
Local resident David Marsh then told of the heartbreaking story of losing a child before Richard Fleming told of how he found his home in Australia. Gretel’s producer Anthea Cohen also recalled a hilarious story from her childhood about her pet guinea pigs and a twelve year old “healer”.
Funds from the day will go to the inaugural International Men’s Day next year.
