Mr Myburgh of Iron Rock Dorpers, Murringo said he decided to enter shows this year after being in the industry for the past seven years.
“It’s good, it’s a good result,” he said.
“It’s for advertising, go out there and let people know about me and the quality of my sheep.”
Mr Myburgh also placed second at the Australian Sheep and Wool Show, in the White Doper Rams Under 1.5 Years class.
He said recent success at the Dubbo Show with his six-year-old ewe inspired him to enter in Bendigo.
“I knew that I stood a good chance, she was Reserve Champion at the Dubbo Show,” he said.
“This particular year was my best year. She is six-years-old and has given me 15 lambs.”
Mr Myburgh said he has rams available for purchase and any interested can contact him on 0449 868 200.
