The girls all played really well as a team and supported each other throughout the match with good passing techniques.
Hayley Hambrook who has been a dominant player this year scored two tries and one conversion; Georgia Squire-Wilson used her speed to score three tries; Josie Chard-Davis, Shania McKinnon and Paige Brown also displayed great skills scoring one try each.
The girls have been working hard on their kicking skills this year with the two other successful conversions kicked by Bonnie Abnett and Amelia Rowan.
Well done on the win girls and a great team effort.
Under 14s
On Saturday, we headed through the frost to Temora to take on the Temora Dragons.
It was a great day for our revamped team, with many players, playing their best game all season.
Joie Whybrow got the team off to a great start with an early try.
Then a controversial referee decision resulted in Temora scoring a try and converting.
Following this decision, the Harden/Boorowa boys took it on their chin and dug deeper.
Some smart coaching obviously paid off with coach Todd making a few position changes including moving Sam Corkhill to full back, Joie Whybrow to lock and Marty McGrath to Centre.
Ben Klose continues to improve in the forwards and made great inroads into the Temora pack.
Marty McGrath was unlucky to miss out on a second try and had a good game, Sam Corkhill revelled in his new role of fullback enjoying the benefits of supporting the ball runner resulting in an impressive try.
Tries were scored by Joie Whybrow 3, Matthew Canellis 2, Marty McGrath, Sam Corkhill & Jacob Piper. Final score were Harden/Boorowa 40 and Temora 12.
A week off now and then the boys will be at home against Gundagai/Adelong on July 15.
