After leading 28-0 at halftime, the Rovers never looked in trouble and now have a valuable two week break to nurse a few injuries before beginning the second half of the season.
Boorowa also took a lot of confidence into the game after putting together three wins in a row since Round 4.
The Rovers dominated the early exchanges and after 10 minutes the score was 10-0 to Boorowa after tries to Centre Ryan Foley and backrower Matty Batt.
Whilst dominating field position through good defence, the Rovers continued to make unforced errors, that took away good opportunities to score more points.
Through some good yardage sets, the Rovers were able to score two more quick tries on their left edge with Centre Mick Hinds and coach Josh Burns scoring well-crafted tries.
A good right edge movement seen right winger Blake Anderson score a try just before halftime to make the score 28-0.
The Knights starting the second half well scoring the opening try through some ordinary Boorowa goal line defence.
The Rovers were able to find their feet soon after, with tries to big Michael McNamara, club president Murray Armour and speedy centre Trent Crawford.
The Rovers made an uncharacteristic mistake when attacking the ADFA line, with a badly executed cut out pass on the right edge finding the quick ADFA winger who darted 80 metres to score.
The Rovers were able to finish the game off strongly through tries to Josh Carmody and a hard running Joe Anderson.
Andrew Burns had a field day with the boot converting 8/10 goals.
Strong performers included Michael McNamara, Tom Tuckerman, Ryan Foley, Murray Armour and Matty Black.
The team’s 4th win on the trot keeps them firmly at 3rd on the table only a win away from leaders Crookwell and Harden.
In the League tag, Boorowa’s girls also turned on the class to smash the ADFA Knights by 60-0.
It was a try feast that certainly helped the teams for and against which could prove vital at the end of the season.
Other results from the George Tooke Shield on the weekend saw Harden 82 show little mercy on Gunning 0.
Crookwell hammered Bungendore 40-0 whilst the best contest of the weekend saw Binalong 30 beat Boomanulla 26.
In the league tag, other games last weekend saw Boomanulla 32 beat Binalong 16 whilst Harden 18 downed Gunning 6.
Boorowa, UC Grizzlies, Harden, Bungendore, Binalong and North Canberra all have the week off.
