The Boorowa Golf club fairways came alive again for the year of 2017 season.
We played for a Canadian Foursome on March 8.
It was a great opening day, with 14 players taking to the fairways.
We welcomed new golfer Marg Bowles and welcomed girls who have been away for a while, Bev Good and Gillian Smith and our very special visitor, Mary Clarke from Scotland.
The winners on the day were Pat Croker and Lyn Thomas, runner-up Mary Clarke and Helen Aldersey.
A lovely afternoon tea followed the presentation and we invited long-term member Ada Cummings to join us.
The lush green fairways on our second day of play on March 15 reminded us of our special Irish Day, St Patrick’s Day.
Once again, we played a Canadian Foursome with 11 players turning up.
Winners of the Canadian Helen Aldersey and Felicity Corcoran, runners up Suzanne Manning and Gillian Smith.
Next week, we play for the Mona Dwyer trophy (putting).
Names in by 9am, hit off at 9.30am.
Frances Brewer and Marie Martin on the cards.
