Boorowa Central School’s Kindergarten class of 2017 have made a wonderful start to their school life.
They have been enjoying getting to know each other, their teacher Mrs Peta Proudford and school routines.
Each Kindergarten student has a Buddy from Year 6 and they have spent time getting to know their buddy and the Buddies have done an excellent job helping with lunch box pack ups and playground time.
Kindergarten will continue to meet with their Buddies in a ‘Buddy Bear’ session each week right throughout their first year.
There are many new things to experience and enjoy when you start school.
So far Kindergarten have experienced library lessons, singing/music class, cooking, Reading Eggs on the computers during literacy lessons, their first swimming carnival and aquatics and water safety for sport.
This week Kindergarten will also have their first gardening lesson.
Kindergarten’s days are very full as we begin all the fun learning that takes place at school; from reading, writing and maths to art, science, history and geography.
There have been a lot of new things for Kindy to take in about being at big school and they have done a great job. They are off to a flying start!
