The 44-page glossy includes information on Hilltops towns and villages and where to stay, eat, drink, shop, pick fruit and just explore.
Over 70 businesses are listed in the guide making a 12-page increase necessary to ensure space for all of the photos, stories and advertisements.
It includes three self-drive trails; Nature & Outdoors, Food & Wine, and an Antiques & Heritage Trail which all lead visitors across our landscapes from Koorawatha in the north to Jugiong in the south.
With the most recent Tourism Research Australia data showing tourism contributed at least $54m a year to the local economy, this guide is an important resource to encourage visitor exploration, growth and development.
The Hilltops is an idyllic rural gateway for capital city residents with easy access from Canberra and the Hume Highway.
We are ideally placed to capture a growing international visitor market with Canberra Airport and Qatar Airways announcing a new service from the national capital to Doha with onward connections throughout the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa.
A total of 50,000 copies are printed and the guide will be available across the Visitor Information Centre network, including the Sydney Visitor Information Centre in the Rocks and the newly renovated Canberra Region Visitor Information Centre on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin.
Every household in the Hilltops Council area should receive a guide in the mail this week.
Also available online, the guide will provide a useful resource for new and prospective new residents.
