CHRISTMAS LUNCH
On Christmas Day a number of local people, myself included, had the privilege of attending the Christmas Lunch provided in St John’s Hall. This was an enjoyable occasion and the chief organisers, Jenny Cooper and Elizabeth Daly, deserve special appreciation and thanks.

It is hoped that these two ladies will be encouraged to continue this project next year and that it might become a regular feature of Christmas Day in Boorowa.
This initiative has already received support from the community, and hopefully will enjoy increased support as the years unfold.
Special thanks must also go to the Anglican Church for making facilities available, and for the active assistance provided by some of its parishioners.
As someone remarked on the day, the function was in the true spirit of this holy season.

NO DECORATIONS
Having recently spent an evening in Young and noted the beautiful Christmas tree decorations adorning the roundabouts. This led me to query why we have no Christmas decorations in Boorowa, as we have had in the past.
I am wondering if this is what we can now expect from the Hilltops amalgamation.
