Under the guidance of Mrs Nicola Merriman and with the support of their teachers, the students have been rehearsing, working on their acting skills, learning dance routines, developing their ability to project their voice and working together to create an amazing and wonderful stage performance.
Last Friday, December 2 saw the first 'full house' presentation of the play "Pleasing Maat" written and directed by Mrs Nicola Merriman.
The audience was in raptures as they listened to the many one liners, watched the incredible performances from all the students and enjoyed the fabulous story line.
The students backed up again on Monday night and had their last performance on Wednesday evening.
Sold Out audiences enjoyed the social atmosphere of a meal before the play and expressed their delight and amazement of the incredible performances shared by the students.
The audience included family and friends, who have travelled from as far as Sydney, Bateman's Bay and all around our region!
On behalf of the students I would like to thank the many parents and friends who have assisted with building/gathering props, stage building, setting up the Hall, making costumes, applying make-up, and assisting with the meals and packing up.
A huge thank you to the St Joseph's staff for their late nights, early mornings and many practices in assisting our students and support on the nights.
Thank you to Sarah Rose for her time and assistance with the thematic music (a job very well done!)
Finally a very special thank you to Mrs Nicola Merriman, whom we are very blessed to have guide such an incredible opportunity to our students.
Thank you Boorowa for your support and attendance and making 'Pleasing Maat" our 2016 play, such a huge success.
