In judging this year's Media Super Limited Award for Feature Supplements, former journalist and author Laurie Barber said it was pleasing to see the support from local businesses in the Boorowa feature.
"To me, this is what a country newspaper supplement should be all about," Mr Barber said.
Also meriting a mention in the same section was the Boorowa News' Lest We Forget feature, which Mr Barber said was a good example of what country newspapers can do.
"I really felt Boorowa was fortunate to have a paper such as the Boorowa News, that was trying to be a key part of the community," Mr Barber said.
"Everything was in the right place and despite the passing of years, this feature showed a country newspaper can still do a good job on such an important subject."
