All sides started off contesting against an in-house opponent to get the Thursday rivalry and revelry going.
On the opening night, a total of 55 hundred plus scores were thrown from all competing 12 teams with some nice peg outs recorded.
The Top Pub Silver Foxes played the newly formed Top Pub Bushrangers with the reigning A Grade Premiers, the Foxes, just getting home 4/3 in the final singles leg.
The Foxes Dennis Watson threw five hundred scores with a 120 high, supported by team mates Phil Coggins with three hundred plus scores including a 140 whilst Lester Murphy and Richard Hall with two tons being a 140 and a 133 respectively.
The Bushrangers Peter Stephens threw two hundred plus scores whilst Charlie Collins had a 105 and a very nice 77 three dart peg including bullseye finish (7, 20, 50).

This team could be a real smokey this year.
At the Top Pub again, the renamed Specialz played the newly named Top Pub Fitten Did.
The Specialz again won in a close one, 4/3, with the match decided on last singles game.
The Fitten Did won three of the first four games, but could not close the night.
Some great darts here by the Specialz with Jason Stuart throwing a 100 and a 42 peg out, supported by James Green with a 100.
The Fitten Dids Deb McNeil shot a 121 and a 49 peg out, supported by Andrew Diskin with a 122 and Anna Rufford Sharpe with a 105.
The Ex-Services RSL played against the newly formed Ex-Services Renegades with the Renegades winning the night 4/3.
The RSL won three of the first four games before the Renegades came home with a wet sail to win.
Renegades captain Dave Jansen threw a 120 and had a nice 54 peg whilst teammate Mitch Leslie shot a 123 and had a 60 peg out.
The Leprechauns hosted the Shamrocks in house at the Top Pub, with the Leprechauns winning 5/2.
There were some fine arrows here with The Leprechauns' Rebecca Dwyer shooting a 119 and a single bullseye 50 finish peg out.
Trevor Spink shot a 120 and a 40 peg out in three darts.
The Shamrocks' Deb Cotter threw a neat 100 and had a 51 in two darts bullseye peg out and also another single 50 bullseye peg out whilst Grant Cotter contributed with a 105 and 104.
The Ram & Stallion RAMZ played the Mad Ramz with the Ramz a bit too slick winning 5/2.
Josh Carmody had five tons whilst Tom Thaux had two tons Les Fitzgerald hit a 140 for the RAMZ side.
The revamped Mad Ramz Brad Earley had a 125 and Nat Blundell had a 100.
In the final match of the round the Rec Club Outsiders played the Rec Miz Fits with the renamed Outsiders (ex Rec Blue) quickly disposing of the club mates with a 6/1 win.
Fantastic darts here from The Outsiders with Steve Makings and Colin Death throwing five hundred plus scores.
They were supported by Alex Lynch whilst Jamie Pullen with a 140 and a 137.

This side will feature prominently again and are still smarting from last season grand final defeat to the Silver Foxes.
Meanwhile for The Miz Fitz, Andrew Hardefeldt with a 100 and new acquisition Dee McClung was solid with a 117.
