Organised to coincide with the first visit to Boorowa of the new Anglican Bishop of Canberra and Goulburn the Rt Rev Mark Short, the local Anglican Parish will be conducting its Christmas dinner in the Parish Hall on Saturday, November 30.

The dinner will commence at 7pm and the cost will be $25 a head.

Musical entertainment will be provided during the evening, and patrons will have the opportunity to socialise and meet with Bishop Mark and his wife Monica.
Bishop Short will then preach and celebrate Holy Communion at the 9.30am service in St John's Church the following morning.
Prior to becoming the Bishop of Canberra and Goulburn he was the National Director of the Bush Church Aid Society, working in partnership with 17 Anglican Dioceses and other Christian organisations across Australia to support gospel workers in remote and regional areas.
From 2002 to 2011 Bishop Mark was Rector of the Parish of Turvey Park (Wagga Wagga) and priest in Charge of Tarcutta.
From 2009 to 2011 he was Archdeacon of Wagga Wagga, where he shared oversight of 20 parishes, Anglicare and School Ministry across the region.
