It was a close tussle for much of the game before the home side got on top of their arch rivals mid way through the second half.
Boorowa began the game in sensational fashion when Hooker Trent Garrett went over under the posts after just four minutes.
Andrew Burns converted for a 6-0 lead.
Boorowa went on the attack again through some deep probing kicking from Josh Burns.
However two relieving penalties to Binalong saw them go on the attack with their hooker Hayden Bee crossing from close range.
Dylan Arabin converted to make it 6-6.
Boorowa then scored wide out through Justin Corkery before Mick Hinds added another with a 40 metre run to make the score 16-6.
Shortly before halftime Hayden Bee scored his second for Binalong which was converted from wide out by Dylan Arabin to make the score 16-12 at the break.
The second half began like the first with Boorowa adding to their lead after six minutes with a 30 metre run from Trent Crawford who scored.
The try was converted by Andrew Burns who had his kicking boots on for a 22-12 lead.
Both sides began to fire up with some heated exchanges and heavy hitting.
Twelve minutes into the second half, Trent Garrett and Josh Burns combined for Burns to score and push the score out to 28-12.
Mick Hinds then crossed for his second to put the result beyond doubt before his fellow centre Ryan Foley read Binalong the last rites when he scored a converted try to make it 38-12.
Whilst the attack was impressive, the defence of Boorowa was also exceptional particularly in the second stanza.
Trent Garrett was a standout in the forwards probing all day whilst Big Tom Carnell made many vital metres.
In the backs Ryan Foley and Mick Hinds looked good in the centres whilst the two Flyers Trent Crawford and Justin Corkery were impressive.
Scorers for the match were:
Boorowa 38 – Tries to: Hinds (2), Garrett, Corkery, Crawford, Foley, Josh Burns, Andrew Burns: 5 Goals
Binalong 12 – Tries to Hayden Bee 2, Dylan Arabin 2 Goals.
This Saturday's match against Bungendore will be another tough encounter.
The Tigers are always tough at home and coming off a demolition of Gunning will be a formidable opponent.
If the Rovers can defend as well as they did last weekend, they should have enough points in them to get the job done.
The next home game for the local teams will be on Saturday week, May 27 when they take on the UC Grizzlies which judging by when the sides met back in April should be very entertaining.
See you at the footy.
