Cathy Walsh was the capable M.C. and related various stories of the start and growth of the Craft Shop. She also wondered how many businesses in this day manage to reach 20 years of operation.
Robert Gledhill, Mayor of 1994, told of the history of obtaining the Court House and getting the Craft Shop up and running. He is so pleased to see that the venture has been so successful. Wendy Tuckerman, Mayor of 2014 was also impressed by the manner in which the building has been used. She was impressed at the income over 20 years, and the donations that have been made to local charities from sales through the Tea Room.
Dawn Barton described events of humour and interest. She mentioned that, as the shop is also the Information Centre, the members, during times of emergency, have been helpful in giving directions to visitors. Dawn also paid tribute to those members who have passed away, leaving a great heritage for us to follow.
Rent has been paid to the Council from the income of craft sales. In addition captital improvements have been installed in the building - the members and visitors no longer freeze in Winter and boil in Summer. The members also maintain the cleanliness of the Court Room.
