A local has taken the initiative to create a safe space for locals to come together to share their concerns, issues and ideas for the community by creating the first ever Community Forum with hopes they can be held seasonally throughout the year.
Liza Mary posted on a local community group to gauge interest in holding the event and was met with a resounding response from locals who thought it would be a fantastic idea.
Following the positive response the first Community Forum has been scheduled for 6pm on Wednesday September 10 at the Harden Country Club with all members of the public invited to attend.
"For the last few months, I have been thinking that we desperately need an informal community forum, a place where Harden-Murrumburrah and surrounding residents can come together to discuss how we are feeling, what we are concerned about, what we need, what changes we would like to see, etc," Liza said.
"I have discussed the idea with a couple of other local advocates who agree that it might be useful."

Following on from the first meeting Liza said she is wanting to put together a survey so locals are able to easily and quickly respond with feedback, concerns etc.
She is also planning to spend two days near Supabarn so she is able to speak with locals who may not be able to make it to the September event.
With the information that is gathered Liza said she will write it all up and think of strategic ways to respond to items if she is able to and seek other ways to get items dealt with.
