The Lady Golfers Western District Championships were held at West Wyalong. Western Districts stretches over a large area from Cobar, Warren, Dubbo Forbes, Parkes, Wellington, Orange, Bathurst, Cowra, Canowindra, Grenfell and West Wyalong.
There were other towns of the state of NSW represented as far as Maitland. There were 180 players competing, the Hospitality of West Wyalong and organizing of such a large golfing event was exceptional, with Cowra Lady Golfers well-represented this year.
Three Cowra Ladies who enjoyed success in their division were Eileen Wilson, Carmel Mansell and Jo Bush.
Congratulations to these ladies and well done to Captain Jenny Dresser, Sue Smith and Kath Fitzsimmons who also represented for Cowra.

Next year the championships will be held at Forbes.

Eileen Wilson won the Mabel McKenzie Salver in Division two, plus the eighteen hole stroke on Wednesday, on a count back from Cowra's Carmel Mansell second.
