Tributes have flowed from local community and sporting groups for local stalwart Dick Mattress who sadly passed away on April 6, 2025 at the Boorowa Hospital.
The Boorowa Ex Services Club Bowling Club have paid tribute to their fellow member and friend.
"It is with great sadness that the Boorowa Ex Services Club received the news of the passing of Club stalwart, Dick Mattress." John Dymock said.
"He was a great member and contributed to all aspects of the club for many years.
"To Joy and the family, our sincere sympathy in this very sad time.

Dick was the much loved husband of Joy, father and father in-law to Mark and Kathryn, Leanne and John, Stephen and Wendy and the cherished grandfather of Keiran, Brendan, Lachlan, Luck, Joshua and Nicholas.
Friends and family gathered at St Patrick's Catholic Church in Boorowa on Monday to farewell the much loved local with the family asking for donations to be made to Boorowa CanAssist in lieu of flowers.
In other bowls news from Boorowa, last week's social bowls win was shared by Lorraine Bales and Mark Dwyer on 24 points, making up the podium was Garry Dwyer.
Bowls will happen again Thursday at the Ex Services green.
