With COVID-19 transmission rates on the rise, Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) have reintroduced visitor restrictions in all district hospitals and aged care services.
"MLHD advises tighter visitor restrictions are again in place for all health facilities to protect patients, residents, staff and the community from infection of COVID-19," MLHD said in a statement.

"With increasing transmission rates across the state and the impact of the Omicron variant of concern, NSW Health has determined that visits to healthcare facilities should be restricted."
Visitors to all MLHD hospitals and aged care services are now limited to one person at a time.
Visits will be considered based on a risk assessment and in response to individual patient needs and circumstances.
Local exemption may be granted on compassionate grounds and on a case-by-case basis.
If visiting someone at a healthcare facility you must:
- Wear a facemask
- Follow any advice from health care staff
- Be aged 12 years or older
- Visit on your own
"Hospitals and healthcare settings accommodate the most vulnerable in our community and are staffed by the most vital workers needed in a pandemic," MLHD said.
"MLHD apologies for any inconvenience. The restrictions are in place to protect and ensure the safety of patients, staff and the community.
"MLHD reminds every one of the importance of maintaining COVID-safe practices as transmission is occurring at social events during the festive period."
COVID-19 testing and vaccination locations is available on the MLHD website at www.mlhd.health.nsw.gov.au/our-services/covid-19-services
