A short time later, a brand new bike was delivered - but he wasn't sure who it was from.
"I had a bike turn up... and it was just anonymous," he said.
"I only found out five years or so ago that it was actually my aunty. She bought it and got them to deliver it anonymously."
Mr Worroll now hopes to give back to his aunt, Boorowa resident Vedette Mears, as she goes through a battle with cancer.
"She was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer," Mr Worroll said.
"When she heads down there [Sydney], she will have to have recovery for quite a while.
"Plus she had to move house and she only works casual... I figured she might need a helping hand plus it's a pretty rough time to go through so I thought I would try and help her out."
Mr Worroll started a Go Fund Me fundraiser on November 22 and, within days, more than $10,000 was raised to help his aunt with expenses during her treatment.

As a result, Mr Worroll now hopes to raise $20,000 and has nearly ticked over the $15,000 mark.
"It's gone very well, way more than what I expected," he said.
To compliment the Go Fund Me campaign, Mr Worroll has also organised a fundraiser which will be held at the Boorowa Ex-Services Club on December 18.
The night will feature live music and a raffle, with plenty of businesses jumping on board to help out and a few big ticket items up for grabs.
"Some people don't like Go Fund Mes plus it's close to Christmas, so I thought if we did a raffle to help her out further," he said.
"There's a signed Penrith Panthers jersey to auction off and a few other things... a Parramatta Eels jersey and a Summernats Family Pass."
Tickets for the raffle will on sale at 5.30pm on the night before it kicks off at 7.30pm.
"She's very nice, she's a kind, caring, giving sort of person, I thought I owed it to her," Mr Worroll said.
