The Boorowa Lady Golfers celebrated the end of the competition season for 2021 with a lunch at the Recreation Club.
The highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of life membership to Del Greig.
Del has been a member for more than 40 years and held several committee positions in this time including Club President.
She works tirelessly for the Club and can always be found at working bees for the course preparation and regularly tends to the garden areas around the course, planting, trimming and weeding on a volunteer basis.
Del has been our catering manager for many years and sets a high standard.
With Del at the helm, Boorowa gained the reputation for providing the most delicious lunches and afternoon teas on the club circuit.
Del is our most senior member but always walks the full 18-holes, even in inclement weather.
No carts for her!
She still travels to represent Boorowa in regional competitions, with Ariah Park being one of her favourite places.
Del said yesterday that she was humbled by our presentation and she assured us that she actually derives a lot of pleasure from her contributions to the club.
Congratulations Del, we appreciate all that you do, and hope we can enjoy your company on the course for many years to come.
As it was the end of the 2021 competition season, there were four season awards presented on the day.
Leeanne Farrell was presented with the Pam Goode Memorial Putting Trophy by Pam's sister Kay.
The awards for most Birdies and Gobbles for the 2021 season were shared by Leeanne Farrell and Felicity Corcoran.
The Eclectic Trophy, awarded for best scores per hole over the season, went to Jenny Twarloh.
