The event was well attended, with the eight candidates present briefly outlining their experience, skills and vision for Hilltops.
The candidates then fielded questions from the audience.
Topics included council's financial position, community consultation, village meetings, customer service and road maintenance.
Following the meeting many people took the opportunity to mingle with the candidates.
The Rye Park Progress Association would like to thank Andrew Southwell for chairing the meeting and the eight candidates, Joanne Mackay, Mary Dodd, Tony Hewson, Alison Foreman, John Piper, Brian Ingram, Patrick Fitzgerald and Greg Armstrong, who took time to make themselves available to our small community.
