The new online platform, called MHDA Experiences has been created to give people with lived experience of mental health, drug or alcohol issues, and carers, the opportunity to confidentially share their experiences, ideas and feedback.
"We acknowledge that people with lived experience around mental health, drug or alcohol issues, have unique and important views to share," Coordinator of the Consumer Participation Program, Tiffany Thompson said.
"People taking part in opportunities posted on MHDA Experiences will help shape and improve mental health, drug and alcohol services delivered by Murrumbidgee Local Health District in their community.
"Learning and valuing the wisdom drawn from lived and carer experiences of mental health, drug or alcohol issues is at the foundation of how we develop and improve our services and the care that we deliver."
MLHD is seeking feedback from:
- People living in Murrumbidgee with their own lived experience of mental health, drug or alcohol issues
- People and carers who support loved ones with this experience.
The online platform allows people to browse and take part in the opportunities that interest and are relevant to them.
People can take part from home or a location that suits them, and may provide input by phone, online, email or in person if requested.
Participation in the program is private and confidential.
