Darryl Murphy defends Major Singles title

The Major Singles Championship was finalised over last weekend.

In the final, after three rounds of play, Bill Luxford played Darryl Murphy.

Darryl, who is the defending champion, overcame strong resistance from Bill to eventually win 32-18.

Congratulations Darryl.

In the Minor Singles title, Charlie Sorgsepp played Jeff "Ace" Sommerfield.

In a very close game, Charlie held on to a slim lead over the last four ends to eventually run out winner 25-22.

Into the open singles next year Charlie.

In last Thursday's social bowls Darryl Murphy took the honours on 24 points.

On 21 for second was Tony Cassells.

There was a two way tie for third between John Crowe and Garry Dwyer on 20 points.

Social bowls are on again Thursday 12.30pm.
