The Crocs were missing some regulars, but the boys were up for the challenge on the turf, with the winner advancing straight to the grand final.
The Crocs lost the toss and were sent in to bat on a difficult surface, and it played plenty of tricks on the Crocs' batsmen in the first 10 overs.
The boys went from 1-27 to 5-27 in a couple of overs as the Yass bowlers showed how to use the pitch to their advantage.
Jacob Carmody and Matty Ackland put in some resistance to steady the innings and take the score past 50 at drinks.
The last few wickets fell in quick succession and the Crocs were all out for 72.
Carmody was the anchor of the innings and finished 39 not out in classy performance.
Yass came out all guns blazing and put the game away quickly.
The pitch still offered some questions to the batsmen, but any chances created sailed a metre or two either way of the fieldsmen.
It just wasn't the Croc's day and Yass got the runs in the 13th over to give themselves a week off and a spot in the grand final.
The Crocs now play Dalton on the turf at Yass on Saturday for the other spot in the grand final next week.
A do or die contest will bring out the best in the mighty Crocs.
Players' Player went to Jacob Carmody in an utter landslide for his gritty batting and tidy seam bowling.
I for one hope there's two more games to report on this season.
Rumour has it that not since 1988 has Boorowa played in a Yass A Grade grand final.
A strong performance this Saturday will change that.
